Vicki has extensive experience in the Women’s commercial fashion market and is able to provide quality designs as technical drawings or 3d renders, accurate tech packs and production assistance for cut and sew products. She started her career working for big retailers such as the Arcadia Group (Topshop, Dorothy Perkins, etc), Zara and Boden, before moving to Australia to work with Alice McCall. Since then she’s worked internationally for a number or large retailers and more recently she’s helped to launch several startup labels, with great success. Working for large brands has given Vicki a clear understanding of budgets, curating a collection and sell through, while working with small brands has given her the ability to work in a wide range of areas and understand the process from initial concept through to production and sales.

Are you keen to get some support for your existing team, or perhaps looking for a fresh pair of eyes on your product range?

N.H.K Ltd.

Vicki worked with this Bangladesh based factory, initially to create a range of jersey tops for their major High St retail clients in Europe. The project was extended to include bodies, after Vicki noted a trend for this product and considered that the brand’s OTB budget for bodies, falls within jersey tops. The project was extended again to include zero waste designs, which Vicki designed and created patterns for.

Lilybod

Vicki worked on activewear designs for Lilybod and also helped them to source new materials and transition to a clearer way of presenting tech packs to factories. As well as the trend research, trade show visits and designs Vicki provided full tech packs with measurements, tolerance, construction, etc and liaised with the factory when needed.

For copyright reasons, the brand photography is not shown here, however you can shop the Lilybod range here.

Zero Waste 3d fashion design by Vicki Wallis

Zero Waste Design

Vicki has been working in the sustainability space for years and is always looking for ways to expand her skills. She’s previously created zero waste designs and patterns for a factory suppling to major high st labels and wanted to push this further by using 3d software to test out new ideas quickly and see results in real time. All without the need for physical samples or materials in the initial sample phases - therefore saving time, cost and resources.

Vicki has been using 3d design with select clients and has found that over 60% of them made changes to their initial plans after working with her on this, meaning they reduced the number of samples they ultimately needed for the project.

Ekagi

Ekagi is a new Womenswear brand, which creates capsule collections for the modern nomad. All designs are sustainable. For this range, Vicki created the concept, design ideas plus sourced sustainable fabrics such as Tencel, Bamboo and Linen.
