B| THE BEACH BRAND SS20

Vicki worked with B| THE BEACH BRAND, helping them to develop their own design ideas into technical drawings and tech packs. Vicki worked with the founder’s sketches to create accurate files for production.

In addition to providing 1-on-1 services, Vicki also educated the Founder via her Fashion Startup Online Course that she runs to help people who are new to the fashion industry launch their brand.

3d Swimwear Design

Vicki has been using 3d technology to mock up designs in 3d to give customers an idea of what the final product will look like. This process has also helped to speed up the sampling process and in many cases, has reduced the number of samples needed due to being able to make design changes in real time and because measurements and patterns can be pulled directly from the program, leaving less to trial and error.

Adriatika Swimwear SS20

Vicki worked with Adriatika Swimwear on their first collection, helping them to translate their design ideas into a factory ready format - providing them with technical drawings and tech packs for production based on sketches they provided. This was the brands very first collection, having started out without any fashion design or garment technology experience.

Bæis SS18

Vicki worked with Bæis on their first collection which launched in 2018, creating designs and tech packs for their range of sustainable bikini’s and one-pieces.

This project allowed Vicki to use her in depth knowledge of sustainable fabrics to help the client select suitable materials made from reclaimed and recycled materials. The fabrics not only provide excellent handfeel and eco-credentials, but they also have technical features such as SPF and quick drying properties.

WeAreNativ

Vicki has been working with sustainable swimwear brand WeAreNative on a consulting basis since their launch in 2017, helping the brand founder to produce the designs that she creates herself. This project allowed Vicki to use her in depth knowledge of swimwear production to help the client as and when needed.

Designs and photography created and owned by WeAreNative - you can view their full range by clicking here.

Bunny Bikini Hut SS19

Vicki worked with Bunny Bikini Hut, helping them to develop their own design ideas into technical drawings and tech packs. Vicki worked with the founder’s sketches to create accurate files for production.

This project allowed Vicki to use her in depth knowledge of construction techniques and advise the client on the best way forward to work within their budget.

The collection went on to be sold at a pop-up event at Topshop Oxford Circus, as well as online.

Ocean Depths SS19

Vicki loves mixing concepts to create a fresh look and Ocean Depths is exactly that. Mixing sports detailing like chunky zips, stripe elastics and mesh to create a new look for swimwear. A trend that looks set to continue in the coming months.

After designing this collection, Vicki attended Munich Fabric Start trade fair to source sports fabrics that would be suitable for the water.

Sunset Palms SS18

Sunset palms was a print design project for swimwear. Vicki created the concept and used a combination of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create a collection of 3 complimentary prints, ideal for Women’s one-pieces. Vicki has 16 years experience using both programmes and is confident in creating both repeat and placement print files.

Anglaise SS19

A pretty, feminine collection inspired by florals, lace and broidery anglaise. As well as creating the concept and garment designs, Vicki also created 2 textile print options, both as an all over repeat.

As well as designing garments, Vicki has experience in range planning, price negotiations and merchandising, which helps her to create a collection which sells.

Nu-Digital A/W 18/19

This trend was inspired by the digital age and the colours and texture associated with it. Once again Vicki created a print to compliment the colour scheme and worked on the garment designs.

This collection is for the customer who wants to make a statement; they’re confident and fearless and want their swimwear to be bold and turn heads at the pool, rather than being performance focussed.
